TERM WORDS IN THE MONUMENT «MUKADDIMAT AL-ADAB» BY AZ-ZAMAKHSHARI

Abstract

This article analyzes the features of the formation of the terms in the work of Al-Zamakhshari "Mukaddimat Al-Adab". Like other monuments of the Middle Ages, the vocabulary of "Muqaddimat Al-Adab" consists of common words and borrowings modern Turkic languages. Some terms retain their position without sound changes, while others undergo sound changes and are distinguished by semantic specificity. There are many term words from Arabic and Persian in handwritten language.

The purpose of the article is to identify the specifics of the formation of term words found in the language of the monument, to clarify the semantic specificity. Divide the defined term words into thematic groups according to their semantic specificity. Consider  the way of wordformation.

The scientific significance of the article is to determine the personality and semantic specificity of the term words found in the language of the monument. The features of the formation of term words are considered. A term that has undergone some phonetic change is determined by the origin of the words. They are compared among themselves, and the basis of personality is distinguished.

The descriptive, grouping and comparative methods of analysis and accumulation of information were used in this article. The semantic expression and scope words’ usage are analyzed.

The conclusions obtained as a result of the research work are of practical importance in compiling a dictionary of Turkic words.
