Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the methodological, conceptual and constructive significance of linguistics for the overall development of the research field. The work is carried out using the methods of comparative and content analysis, which are updated in modern research practices as the most relevant. Linguistics is considered as a science that to a certain extent reproduces in its functional ontology an important property of its object of study, language, i.e. its universalism and the totality of its presence in all spheres of human intellectual and communicative existence. The science of language does not appear as a research platform closed in its subject and problematic sphere, on the contrary, it acts as an integrator of sciences and a translator of ideas and methodologies into other scientific fields, primarily into the field of social and humanitarian research.  In addition, it is an example of the creative and dynamic development of research discourse, the richness and diversity of concepts and epistemological models, dialectical, contradictory and paradoxical nature of the process of cognition. These qualities of the operational space of linguistics give it a special energy, turn it into a powerful center of concentration of research efforts and experience, and develop in it the potential for penetration into related fields of knowledge. the basis of a conceptualized scientific and literary review, a value-relevant analysis of the most important manifestations of the integrative nature of linguistics is carried out, arguments are given in favor of recognizing its leading role in the organization of humanitarian knowledge. The scientific novelty and significance of the study lies in the actualization of the relevant aspect of the insufficiently developed problems of intrascientific analytical reflection. Based on the analysis, a conclusion is made about the general epistemological significance of linguistics in the modern scientific world. The results of the study can be used in the coverage of some issues of general linguistics and science studies, as well as in the practice of designing and organizing research work.
