Abstract

Abstract. This work provides for the use of ash and slag waste from thermal power plants in the production of building ceramic products. The chemical composition and structural characteristics of raw materials, ash and slag and clay, are investigated. The content of the main elements and oxides, as well as the microstructure features of the components are determined. The physicomechanical properties of finished ceramic products with the addition of ash and slag in various proportions have been studied. The dependence of the performance characteristics of ceramics on the proportion of ash and slag in the composition of the raw material charge has been established. To improve the technological and operational characteristics of the product, the optimal proportions of the mixture have been determined, in which it is recommended to use ash in moderate quantities. The results obtained allow us to present ash and slag waste as a secondary raw material for the production of building ceramics.
