In the complex of technological operations in the cultivation of agricultural crops, an important role belongs to sowing. The main task of placing seeds in the field is to obtain maximum yield at minimum cost of cultivation. This task is sought to be solved by using precision seeders, which should ensure an even distribution of a given amount of seeds over the field area. Thus, when using precision seeding drills, the requirements for compliance with the specified seeding rate increase.
For effective automated control of the seeding process, it is necessary to accurately record the moment when seeds pass through a sensor or optical system. The correct determination of the time intervals of interaction between seeds and the sensor is an essential element for an accurate assessment of seed registration during the study of sowing machines. Of particular importance is the development of an intelligent system that will improve the way to evaluate the accuracy of dotted-nest seeding machines. The purpose of the study is to improve the method of evaluating the qualitative performance of the seeding machine with a dotted–nest seeding method. When designing an intelligent system, it is necessary to develop database components, means of user interaction with the system, represented by a user interface and screen forms, and a software product to determine the accuracy of the dotted-nest method of sowing and seed damage.
