This study aims to investigate the effect of chemical additives on the physical and mechanical properties of fine-grained concrete and to optimize its composition.
The research methodology includes theoretical and practical approaches used in design and construction, based on accumulated experience and experimental data.
The article analyzes various types of additives that can be used to improve the properties and characteristics of concrete, such as plasticizers, modifiers, fiberglass, antifreeze and waterproofing additives used in concrete and building mixtures. The article presents the conditions for selecting additives, the proportions of components for preparing a classic concrete mixture and a mixture with plasticizers, and the properties of a concrete mixture with the addition of household detergent «Fairy», which is a substitute for a plasticizer.
This practical study is aimed at systematizing knowledge about modification additives for concrete compositions, identifying their advantages and disadvantages. An analysis of the spectrum of additives capable of improving the operational properties of concrete was carried out, namely: plasticizers, modifiers, fibers, as well as anti-frost and waterproofing compounds used in building mixtures. In the course of the study, the criteria for the selection of mixtures were determined and the optimal proportions of components for the preparation of standard and plasticized concrete mixtures were determined. Also, the features of the properties of the concrete mixture were studied when using the household detergent "Fairy" as a substitute for the plasticizer.
