The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the renovation of industrial buildings as an important area of modern urban planning. The historical background, current trends and prospects for the development of this area are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the economic, social and cultural aspects of renovation. The article outlines the main objectives of the renovation of these facilities, including the creation of a comfortable urban environment, the development of social infrastructure and convenient public spaces, the reuse of abandoned or inefficiently used territories, and the preservation of architectural heritage and its integration into the modern urban environment. The article reflects modern renovation projects of industrial buildings that combine several key principles, such as the preservation of historical appearance, while preserving authentic building elements, adapting them to new functions, the multifunctionality of buildings, combining residential, office, cultural, commercial buildings, as well as integration with the urban environment, design taking into account the context of the area, with the creation of pedestrian links and green areas, taking into account environmental friendliness with the introduction of energy-efficient technologies and the use of recycled materials. In the course of the conducted research, an analysis of the renovation of domestic and foreign experience was carried out, which consists in solving complex tasks, from updating the urban environment to stimulating the economy and preserving cultural heritage. The article indicates the coordination of efforts by the state, business, and local communities to develop renovation projects and improve the methodological framework and attract investment.
