Abstract

Corrosion and erosion of oil and gas field equipment and pipelines cause significant damage to the environment, as well as lead to significant material costs. Oil and gas of Kazakhstan are characterized by high aggressiveness due to the content of salts, carbon dioxide, naphthenic acids in them. High hydrogen sulfide content lead to corrosion in Karachaganak and Kashagan objects [1,2]. To prevent cracking of pipes, nickel coating and wrapping the pipe with a material inert to hydrogen sulfide are currently mainly used. This is time-consuming and expensive. For these reasons the search for the most effective method or combination of methods for preventing corrosion and erosion of equipment is an urgent task.
